About PHO LALA
PHO & KATSU
Located at 1001 S Vermont Ave #103, Los Angeles, CA 90006, PHO LALA operates as a vietnamese serving Los Angeles in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under tonkatsu restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Los Angeles, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 amβ11 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach PHO LALA at (213) 529-4003; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is pholalarestaurant.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 218 reviews, which is a strong result for a vietnamese in Los Angeles and suggests consistent service.
Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

7.5/10 The broth of the Pho had no flavor, they don't provide any Basil which is big thing in Pho. They gave me moldy cilantro which is crazy. If you live in Koreatown just go to Pho Legend on Vermont or Pho 24 are better options. They have fresher herbs and bold broths that wake you up!

Vietnamese guy here. I can't understand all the glowing reviews about the pho here. I chose this place because it had 4.4 stars and I needed some Pho! The broth was incredibly bland. Same with the beef. I couldn't bring myself to drink any more of the broth because it was so disappointing. I'm now looking at a fast food place now to just get some food for a long night. The plus was that I really like how they had a station for picking out all the garnishes. I've never seen that before so that was very cool. But just be aware that this place is Korean run so you'll find metal chopsticks instead of the classic Vietnamese chopsticks. The problem is that it makes the noodles too slippery. I had to resort to using a fork π¬ Lastly a bowl of Pho was $19 after tax. Too much for what I got. Hopefully they improve the broth.

There's a good reason why this place is five stars. Truly great portions. Flavors out of bounce. Very reasonable priced. Staff are super friendly. Restaurant is very chic and clean. Love the fresh kimchi and basil and sprouts bar. Recommended A+

The pho was good! The meat was tender as well! So much flavor in the broth, but not as clean as I like. I love that they have a fixings bar, so you can get all the toppings you want! (Swear places are stingy with the jalapeΓ±os,lol). Meat was fresh, even the rare steak! Anyway, I had the special pho, shrimp egg rolls and a Jarritos! I did not like the egg rolls, they were mushy inside (see pic). However, I love that they have a drink cooler for options other than traditional drinks! Totally going back to this, and would highly recommend.
